Come and throw yourself into the wonderfully therapeutic and creative world of pottery!
There are six wheels at my workshop and one portable wheel for taking into various venues for demonstration purposes and for people to have a go at throwing a pot on a wheel.
You don't need any previous experience just a desire to learn a new craft. If you think you are not capable of throwing anything then I assure you that clay is a wonderful natural medium to work with. If you choose to hand build you can do this in either the standard earthenware or an airdrying clay which is also capable of being fired but should you wish to take it away unfired then it can be painted with acrylic paints. Air drying clay is ideal for children's parties or for making small pieces by hand.
I offer taster sessions or regular lessons. You just come along and learn and have the freedom to be able to create whatever you want. Lessons are two hours long and cost £24 per person per session. Finished pieces are charged by weight at 1p per gram for standard earthenware clay and 5p per gram for airdrying clay.
To arrange your lesson please contact me. I do morning, afternoon, evening and weekend sessions.
